Born on February 14, 1832 at St. Stephens, Washington County, AL.
Worked as a physician both before and after the war.
Married Mary Louise Whitfield on August 21, 1861 at Austin County, TX.

Mustered into Company B at Houston, TX on March 12, 1862 by Lt. Sparks.
Captured at Murfreesboro, TN on December 31, 1862 and forwarded to Camp Douglas, IL.
Exchanged at City Point, VA on April 4, 1863.
Returned to regiment in April 1863.
Discharged by substitution.
Returned to TX by January 1864.

Died on May 15, 1899 at Whitney, Hill County, TX.
Buried at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney, Hill County, TX.
