Mustered in with Company K in Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Last official record shows him present in February 1864.

Elected Alderman for the City of Bryan, TX in 1875.
Served as Assessor of Taxes for Brazos County, TX from 1876 to 1882.
Ran again for County Assessor in 1878.
Attended the TTR Reunion in Galveston on February 20, 1882.
Served as a delegate to the TX state Democratic convention in 1884.
Served as County Judge for Brazos County, TX from 1890 to 1894 and 1896 to 1898.
