Born at GA around 1836.
Resided at Richmond, Ft. Bend County, TX; occupied as a farmer.

Mustered into Company H at Richmond, TX on May 14, 1862 by Capt. Cook.
Present in March 1864.
Suffered neck and ear wound near Newnan, GA on July 30, 1864.
Suffered severe thigh wound in skirmish near Aiken, SC on February 2, 1865.
Bunting indicates he served as medical doctor to regiment.
Discharged due to battle wounds.
Paroled at Ft. Bend County, TX on June 29, 1865.

Possibly brother of James Daniel Freeman, Co. H.
