Born in Germany around 1841.
Resided in Falls County Texas.

Enlisted in Falls County during September 1861.
Was on sick leave in November of 1861.
Recovered and served throughout the war

Following the war he returned to Falls County, Texas.
He married Elizabeth Ellender "Bettie" Driver on December 29, 1873.

He died of heat stroke in 1882.
