Born at Yazoo County, MS around 1838.
Acted as Executor of Will in Holmes County, MS in 1845.
Acted as Holmes County Probate Witness in 1848.
Resided at Segin, Guadalupe County, TX in 1860; occupied as a lawyer.
Described as 5'11" with dark hair, fair complexion, and blue eyes.

Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Received accidental gunshot wound to hand at Murfreesboro, TN on July 13, 1862.
Discharged in November 1862 due to wound to hand, rendered useless; Macmurphy indicates that "Fitch was accidentally shot by his own pistols in the hand."

NOTES:

We are authorized to announce Morgan L. Fitch, Esq. as a candidate for the office of Judge of the 10th Judicial District composed of the counties of Leake, Attala, Holmes and Yazoo, all the next Nov. election. - Kosciusko, Miss. April 11, 1840
