Born in TN around 1834.
Resided at Galveston, Galveston County, TX in 1860; occupied as a merchant clerk.

Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Elected to 5th Sergeant (possibly; Jones Roster).
Promoted to Ordnance Sergeant by December 1861.
Promoted to Quartermaster's Clerk on Brigadier General Wharton's staff in November 1862.
Left for TX without leave.
Present in March 1864.
Transferred with General Wharton as Chief Clerk by March 1864.

Died in GA in 1868.
