Born at Washington County, MS around 1839.
Emigrated with his family to TX by 1854.
Resided at Ecleto, Karnes County, TX in 1860 with parents and eight siblings;
occupied as a clerk and farmer.
Mustered into Company C at Houston, TX on September 12, 1861.
Discharged dishonorably on April 21, 1862 because he failed to turn over horse
captured on battlefield at Shiloh, TN.
Described as 6'0" with auburn hair, dark complexion, and black hair.
Restored to position in June 1862.
Suffered gunshot wounds to both thighs at Glass's Mill, Chickamauga, GA on
September 20, 1863.
Died several days later.
