Resided in Oso, Fayette County, TX where he was occupied as a farmer.

Mustered in with Company F on September 7, 1861 in Houston, TX.
Wounded in the thigh near McMinnville, TN on August 29, 1862 and left at a house to recover.
Regained the Regiment by December 1862.
Listed as present in February 1864.

Buried in Old City Cemetery, La Grange, Fayette County, TX.
