Ephraim Shelby Dodd

~1838 - January 8, 1864


 

Born in KY around 1838.

Mustered into Company D at Corinth, MS by Colonel Wharton on April 16, 1862.
The Houston Tri-Weekly Telegraph published him as deserter on May 30, 1863.
Lost horse during October 1863 raid.
Captured near Sevierville, East TN on November 16 or 17, 1863 and transferred to Knoxville, TN.
Transfered to Camp Chase, OH in early January 1864 with orders countermanded.
Court martialed on espionage charges in January 1864.
Hanged in Knoxville, TN on January 8, 1864.

Member of Terry Lodge, regimental, Masonic chapter.
