James Colwell Dilworth

Born at Baker County, GA around 1838.
Resided at Gonzales, Gonzales County, TX in 1860 with mother and three siblings;
occupied as a farmer.
Mustered into Company I at Houston, TX on September 11, 1861.
Promoted to 3rd Lieutenant or brevetted 2nd Lieutenant in June 1862.
Promoted to regimental staff as commissary officer by April 1863, with rank
of Lieutenant.
Absent in August 1863 due to illness.
Suffered severe leg wound near Rutledge, TN on December 16, 1863.
Left in private hospital for at least two months to recover.
Member of Terry Lodge, Regimental Masonic Chapter.
Engaged in business with G. W. Littlefield, Co. I, after the war.
Died at Gonzales, TX in 1878.
