Born ~1845 at MO (according to A.J. Roster); or born ~1833 at AL (according to descendant/census info).
Immigrated from KY to TX. (according to descendant)
Possibly resided at Bagdad, Williamson County, TX in 1860; occupied as a laborer and a student; resided with parents and three siblings.
Married Jeantta Dyer. (according to descendant)

Mustered into Company C on May 2, 1862 at Courtland, AL, by Capt. Shannon.
Left near Knoxville, TN in December 1863.
Apparently regained regiment by December 1864, when he was wounded at Waynesboro, GA (likely on 12/4/64).

Member of Terry Lodge, Regimental, Masonic Chapter.
Died in 1885, shortly after the birth of his son, Alfred. (according to descendant)
Buried at the Old Round Rock Cemetery, along with three children of his brother George Washington Davis. (according to descendant)
