Born October 6, 1840 in Nelson County, KY.
July 1860 probate notes indicate his parents estate was sold for $276.10 by his guardian, James C. Forman, in Colin County, TX.
Returned to live with his grandfather in Kentucky following his parents death.
Returned to Colin County, TX prior to the war

Enlisted on in Houston, TX on July 26 or 27, 1862 by Capt. G. Cook
Transferred to the 3rd Kentucky Cavalry, Company B (other sources state 2nd Kentucky Cavalry or Gano's Texas Squadron) in April 1863.

Died November 6, 1897 in Cincinati, Hamilton County, OH.
