Born in Perry County, AL around 1834.
Resided in Centerville, Leon County, TX.

Mustered into Company B at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Received gunshot wound to face at Mt. Washington, KY in October 1862.
Captured at Bardstown, KY in October 1862.
Paroled in October 1862 and sent to Louisville for 3 weeks.
Exchanged in Vicksburg in November 1862.
Discharged in February 1863 due to battle wounds - the minnie ball lodged in the orbital plate of his skull.

Graber states that he lived to "a good old age" after the war and raised a large family.
Ran a successful cotton gin near Bryan, TX.
