Resided at Big Hill, Gonzales County, TX in 1860 with Cobb family (including
J. H. Cobb, Co. I), and occupied as an overseer.
Mustered into Company I at Houston, TX on September 11, 1861.
Present in August 1862.
When with Regimental wagons in September 1862, shot and killed R.
B. George, Co. I, at Scottsville, Allen County, KY.
Claimed (to members of 4th OH Cav.) to have been imprisoned at Glasgow, Barren
County, KY by Confederate authorities, as a result of the shooting.
Forwarded to Camp Chase, OH in April 1863.
Recommended by investigating committee for release.
Released in May 1863, with notations indicating desertion.
