Enlisted in Company G on February 27, 1862 in Murfreesboro, TN by Capt. Houston.
Deserted near Sparta, TN on June 1, 1863.
May have returned to duty, perhaps with another unit.
Rumored to have been captured and murdered while with a small group in TN
in 1863. Possibly with J. Doris of Co. H.
By Wars end he was at hospital in Okolana, MS either as a patient or attendant.
Paroled on May 19, 1865 in Iuka, MS.
Described as 6'0" with black hair, dark complexion, and gray eyes.
