Born near Perry's Landing, TX., on September 1, 1844.
Resided at the Durazno Plantation in Columbia, Brazoria County, TX in 1860 with parents and siblings.

Mustered into Company B at Houston, TX on March 11, 1862.
Claiborne indicates he was wounded.
Transferred to Brown's Regiment, Roberts TX Cavarly Battalion in October 1862 or after December 1863.

Married Sarah Emily Stratton on August 23, 1866.

Died at Houston, TX on December 6, 1909.
Buried in Peach Point Cemetery, Brazoria County, Texas.
