Born around 1844.

Enlisted into Company A at Marshall, TX on October 2, 1861 by A. C. Frazier.
Served initially as member of 7th TX Infantry.
Joined Rangers in Spring 1862.
Fought at Shiloh, Chickamauga, Murfreesboro, Knoxville, and the Atlanta Campaign.
Present in August 1862.
Listed on July-August 1862 Muster Roll as present and last paid by B. A. Botts to July 1, 1862.
Served with Rangers until November 1862.
Tranferred back to 7th TX Infantry on November 4, 1862.
Suffered slight wound to cheeck on July 22, 1864 at Atlanta, GA.
Hospitalized in Ocmulgee Hospital.
POW on November 30, 1864 at Franklin, TN; sent to Camp Douglas, IL.
Surrendered in GA on April 26,1865.

Emigrated to Brazil after the war.
Married Madora McKnight.
