Resided in Gonzales, Gonzales County, TX in 1860 with wife, one child, and
brother-in-law T. W. Jones, Co. I; occupied
as a merchant.
Mustered into Company I at Gonzales County, TX on April 9, 1862 by Lt. A.
D. Harris.
Suffered arm wound at Wildcat, KY on October 20, 1862.
Returned to TX in October 1862.
Claiborne indicates he was wounded on another occasion.
Published as deserter on May 30, 1863.
Dispatched on special duty by June 1863 to at least December 1863.
Tended injuried T. W. Jones, Co. I, and G.
W. Littlefield, Co. I, near Mossy Creek, TN in late December 1863 to at
least January 1864.
Present in February 1864.
Surrendered at Greensboro, NC on May 5, 1865.
