Transferred from 7th TX Cavalry or 8th TX Infantry by early 1863.
Returned from absence in March 1863.
On detached duty by July 1863 to at least March 1864.
Killed near Dalton (Claiborne indicates Varnell's Station), GA on May 9, 1864.
