Born in OH around 1838.
Resided in Wilson, Bexar County, TX in 1860; occupied as a clerk.

Mustered into Company G at Houston, TX on September 16, 1861.
Elected 2rd Corporal.
On duty with Quartermaster Department by July 1862.
Reduced in rank to private by August 1862.
Promoted to Quartermaster Sergeant by November 1862.
On detached duty from October 1863 to February 1864.
Present in February 1864.
Captured on June 2, 4864 near Marietta, GA and apparently escaped.
Suffered severe chest wound at Buckhead Church, GA, likely November 28, 1864.
Paroled in San Antonio, TX on August 17, 1865.
Member, Terry Lodge, Regimental Masonic Chapter; Master Mason.

Commander of the Oxford County, AL UCV Camp in 1894..
Member of the United Confederate Veterans Gordon Memorial Camp of Oxford, AL.

Died 1910.
Buried in the Oxford Memorial Gardens, Oxford, AL.
