Moved with family to Fort Bend County, TX.
Graduated from the medical course at Tulane University in 1860.
Possibly resided in Ft. Bend County, TX in 1860.
Described as 5'9" with dark hair, dark complexion, and gray eyes.
Occupied as a physician.
Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Participated in the battle of Bowling Green, KY.
Hospitalized for bronchial trouble.
Discharged on December 10 or 25, 1861 at Nashville, TN and returned to TX.
Recieved a commission as an Assistant Surgeon.
Assigned to duty as post surgeon at Beamont Texas where he served gallantly.
Went to Mexico following the war.
Returned to Milheim, Austin County, TX, where he practiced medicine.
Married Sophie Ansler in 1870.
Went to CA in 1873 because of his bronchitis and asthma.
Resided in San Diego and Los Angeles Counties until 1882.
Returned to TX in 1882 and resumed his practice.
Returned to CA for health reasons in 1889.
Resided in Phoenix, AZ from 1900 to 1909.
Died at the home of his daughter Ms. Henry Kuchel on August 4, 1909.
Buried August 5, 1909 in the Anaheim Cemeterey, Anaheim CA.
Grandfather of U.S. Senator Thomas Kuchel of California.
