Born at Burke's Landing, Union County, AR on June 13, 1838.
Moved to Liberty, Liberty County, TX in 1846.
Moved to Fayette County, TX, near Oso, in 1851.
Resided at Blackjack, Fayette County, TX in 1860; occupied as a farmer.
Mustered into Company F at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Developed mumps after battle at Shiloh, TN in April 1862.
Recovered from mumps by June 1862.
Suffered gunshot wound to side of neck at Chickamauga, GA in September 1863.
Hospitalized at Rome, GA in October 1863.
Returned to regiment late in 1863.
Present in September 1864.
Married Sammy Sloan.
Married Georgia Ann Texas Culpepper on December 15, 1880.
Died September 21, 1908 in Lavaca County, TX.
