Resided at Richmond, Ft. Bend County, TX in 1860 with parents and (possibly) six siblings.

Listed on Company Muster-in Roll (Houston, TX, September 7, 1861) as having joined for duty and enrolled at Houston, TX, by Lt. Sparks on September 7, 1861, at age 22.

Mustered into Company H at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861 by Lt. J. W. Sparks. (Muster Roll for Sept. 7 to Oct. 31, 1861)
Listed on September 7-October 31, 1861 Muster Roll as present.
Listed on November-December 1861 Muster Roll as absent and sent to Hospital at Nashville, TN on December 30, 1861, and last paid by Maj. Davis to November 7, 1861.
Missing and presumed killed following the dismounted skirmish action supporting Ketchum's Battery at Shiloh on April 6, 1862.
Died April 6, 1862.
