Born in TN on June 16, 1826.
Resided in Bastrop County, Texas.

Mustered into Company D, Harrison's Brigade, Wheeler's Division, at Houston, TX on September 7, 1861.
Present ill in October 1861.
Discharged in Bowling Green, KY on either November 21, 1861 or January 1862 due to right arm and hand injuries sustained in a fall.

Admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on October 25, 1891 (a widower), and indicated that his last residence was in Hill County, TX.

Died on July 15, 1894.
Buried in the Texas State Cemetery on July 16, 1894.
