Resided at LaGrange, Fayette County, TX in 1860 with wife; occupied as a
carpenter.
Mustered into Company C at Houston, TX on September 12, 1861.
Promoted to 2nd Sergeant by November 1861.
Claiborne indicates he was discharged in August 1862.
Listed as present to at least March 1863.
Served later in TX in Colonel Benavides's regiment (Brigadier General J.
E. Slaughter's Brigade).
Paroled on June 15, 1865 at Brownsville, TX.
Owner of General Store in Junction City, Kimble County, TX. ~1881
County Judge in Kimble County, TX. ~1891-1893
