It is our goal to provide a reference to all known sources relating to Terry's Texas Rangers. It is no easy task as new or undiscovered sources are continually coming to light. If you know of a reference not listed in this section we encourage you to that we might include it.

Primary Sources

Those items written by the men of Terry's Rangers themselves as well as edited collections of their writing or the writings of their contemporaries. Items that were written by eyewitnesses to the events described.

Secondary Sources

Articles and books written about the Rangers by other people. These are items written by people who were not present during the events described so had to gather their information from others.

Archive and Manuscript collections

Collections of original documents related to Ranger history in both public and private hands. Includes such things as archives, libraries, and private collections.

Artifact Collections

Collections of items that belonged to Terry's Rangers in both public and private hands. Includes museums and private collectors.

Newspaper Collections

Sources for Newspapers (in microfilm or paper form) that contain articles related to Terry's Rangers.
